Hair loss cure

Male pattern baldness is a very common theme and has been largely recognised and accepted worldwide. I believe that we really do not necessarily need to suffer, if indeed it is suffering (many men look and feel much better without hair!), as there are some most effective treatments for hair loss that can allow you to prevent or stop male hair loss altogether. This article is not aimed as replacement advice from your Doctor or Dermatologist; it is more a person's view of today's world of thinning and balding men and the hair loss treatment available.

Unlike females, male baldness or 'Androgenic Alopecia' is very common and is largely due to inheriting genes from a dominant parent - if you are thinning on top just like your Father or Grandfather then it is likely that they held the dominant gene and passed it down to you. It is the effect of Dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, that inhibits growth of new hair. DHT is formed when male testosterone converts and this happens in men that have inherited the defective follicles.

Causes of Male Hair Loss
Of course, there are some drugs which cause hair loss (Anti-coagulants, Heparin), ageing, stress, illness, poor diet and hormone imbalances are all known causes of thinning and balding hair loss so knowing the cause is usually a step in the right direction. For assistance with this if you are unsure, it always is best to see a Health Professional so a diagnosis can be made. Once you know the cause of your hair loss, then you can take the next steps to correcting or improving your symptoms.

Ways To Stop Hair Loss
Some ways to stop hair loss are by using prescription medicines that can be sought from your Doctor and taken with their advice. Sometimes good nutrition and a balanced diet can help with improving the appearance of your hair. Some superstores sell products like Wella that can be used to improve minor problems with thinning hair, and there are some natural remedies for hair loss that can be used to aid hair loss and are good if you require a drug free treatment. You can combine herbal remedies with prescription medication but you must seek advice as some herbs can inhibit the effectiveness of a hair loss medication, or can be damaging when taken together.

Massage can be a good place to start if your symptoms stem from a dry and itchy scalp or other forms like, say, psoriasis. As well as treating the area you can help stimulate blood flow to your scalp by completing a simple massage every time you wash your hair. By using small circular movements (to the scalp and not the hair) and gentle kneading movements, you can improve circulation that can help 'feed' the hair follicles. This is rather lovely and relaxing; even if it doesn't help your thinning hair to grow it will make you feel great. Visit your salon if you prefer!

My Advice
Do remember that we all lose hair on a daily basis. If you believe that you are losing excessive amounts of hair, or you notice balding patches in your scalp, then it is important to seek help and advice so that any underlying issues can be ruled out.
